Tasso Karkanis is VP of Engineering at Augmenta, leading a diverse team of computational scientists, front-end and cloud engineers in the development of advanced design systems for the construction industry and drawing on his 25 years of experience delivering software for professionals.
Prior to joining Augmenta, he served as software architect at Deep Genomics, developing software tools for genome analysis and genetic disease target identification. Before that, he led teams at Autodesk, developing software for CAD, mechanical engineering simulation, industrial and automotive design, 3D printing, visual effects, and content creation.
Tasso holds a BSc in physics from the University of Waterloo and an MSc in computer science (graphics) from the University of Toronto.
